Why should I get Backup for 365?
Your data in Microsoft 365 is secured/protected on a shared responsibility model. This means that you bear some responsibility and so does Microsoft.
What is Microsoft responsible for?
Microsoft are responsible for hardware failure, software failure, power outages and deletion requests.
What are you responsible for?
You are responsible for protecting the security and integrity of your data, endpoints, accounts and access management. This means any accidental deletions, malicious insiders or program errors, hackers, ransomware, viruses, and malicious activity could wipe out your business-critical data.
Doesn’t Select Technology have lots of security to protect my 365 account?
Absolutely we do, and the list of tools, systems and people we have working to protect you is significant. However, nothing is 100%, and we can’t protect your data from malicious insider activity or accidental deletions. Once your data, is damaged or lost, we won’t be able to restore that data.
What do you recommend?
We recommend backing-up your Microsoft 365 data to another cloud-based server, ensuring that if someone does get past the heavy security that we have set up or there are any internal human errors, we can quickly recover your data and make sure that your organisation keeps on running.
